Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Film Screening
The amazing natural beauty of Lake Tahoe is one of our most important influences here at the firm of Dennis E. Zirbel, Architect, and that natural beauty must be protected. Fortunately Truckee and other Lake Tahoe towns also place a high importance on conservation. This month, the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival will be hosting a film festival in nearby Nevada City, California.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival will focus on films that explore current environmental concerns and celebrate the natural world. It is an extension of the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival’s educational event at The Village at Squaw Valley on April 21st. This volunteer-run, nonprofit event is a great way to learn more about conservation and environmental issues, not only in Lake Tahoe, but also around the world.
The film festival will take place Thursday, April 19th, and Friday, April 20th, at the Olympic Village Lodge. Doors open at 6 pm and the movie starts at 7 pm. Tickets are only $10 a night, and are available at a number of local businesses.
